A Gold Coast Family Photography session at dusk in sunlit fields

Family Photo Session in a Gold Coast Field ~ Gold Coast Family Photography

Bec Zacher Gold Coast Family Photographer ~ with Catriona & Michael

“My children outnumber my arms now, and I so often feel the strain of evenly dispensing my affections amongst them all. Never mind the poor husband! Somehow Bec managed to capture this ever-present tension in the most beautiful way. Lots of snotty tears as I’ve perused these pics, seeing myself through my family’s eyes, and all those little gestures subconsciously imbued with love. I’ve realised that they are perhaps more often than not blissfully satisfied with their portions, after all.”

When Catriona's words landed in my inbox after I sent through her family gallery, I have to admit that her words made me cry.. happy tears of course, but tears nonetheless! (This is just a snippet of a long email she took the time to write and far out it was so special to read). We had a family session together with her three spirited kiddies who had a crazy amount of fun and bucketloads of energy during the session. This pretty much sums up all of my sessions ;) and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Sometimes I know that when we wrap up a session, parents often think to themselves how on earth I managed to get anything at all. When I get to deliver a gallery and show them that even though things may have felt high energy and a little crazy at times, I've got them! In between it all, it takes me a split second to capture that glance, that pause, that belly laughter, that deep love. It takes skill and a ton of practice but that is the joyful challenge of family shoots and something I absolutely love about them!

So if you've ever thought that your kids are not 'photo session' kinda kids, let me change your mind and show you just how incredible your family is!
